Hello,

webmin 1.580, CentOS Linux 6.2. I have in /etc/samba/smb.conf:

smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd
passdb backend = smbpasswd:/etc/samba/smbpasswd

In Samba module config:
Location of the Samba password file /etc/samba/smbpasswd

But when I choose "Edit Samba users and passwords", I get "No Samba users defined".
Why?

Regards,
Nerijus

I did "Convert Unix users to Samba users", it added a lot of users, but still I don't
see users in "Edit Samba users and passwords".
/etc/samba/smbpasswd has 75 users, and they work with samba.

On the module config page, what do you have the "Full path to pdbedit" set to?
It should be /usr/bin/pdbedit on CentOS 6, as the smbpasswd file isn't used
to store users anymore.

But, as I wrote above, I do use smbpasswd file (I have passdb backend = smbpasswd:/etc/samba/smbpasswd
in smb.conf). Is it possibe to overwrite webmin logic in such case?

Sure ... just empty out that field that sets the path to pdbedit, and webmin will read the smbpasswd file directly.
